Tupac Shakur was one of the most influential and controversial rap artists of the 1990s. He was born on June 16, 1971, in Harlem, New York, to Afeni Shakur and Billy Garland, both members of the Black Panther Party. On September 7, 1996, Tupac was shot four times in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada, after attending a boxing match between Mike Tyson and Bruce Seldon. He was taken to the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada, where he died six days later from his wounds. He was 25 years old. His murder remains unsolved to this day, although many theories and conspiracies have been proposed. Some people even believe that he faked his death and is still alive.
