Bars !!!! (Don't rap without it)

bubutheproducer

If you want to learn how to count bars as a rapper, you need to understand the basic structure of rap music and how it relates to the beat. A bar is a segment of time that corresponds to a certain number of beats in a rap song. Usually, rap songs have a 4/4 time signature, which means that there are four beats in each bar. You can count the beats by tapping your foot, nodding your head, or using a metronome. A typical rap verse has 16 bars, which means that you have to rap for 16 counts of four beats each. A chorus or a hook usually has 8 bars, which means that you have to rap for 8 counts of four beats each. To count bars in rap, you can use the following steps:

- Listen to the rap beat and identify the tempo or the speed of the song. You can use a tool like BPM Counter to measure the beats per minute (BPM) of any song.

- Divide the BPM by 60 to get the number of beats per second. For example, if the BPM is 120, then there are 2 beats per second.

- Multiply the number of beats per second by 4 to get the number of beats per bar. For example, if there are 2 beats per second, then there are 8 beats per bar.

- Count the number of bars by saying "one" on the first beat of each bar and counting up to four on the remaining beats. For example, if there are 8 beats per bar, you can count like this: "one, two, three, four, two, two, three, four, three, two, three, four, four, two, three, four". This is one bar.

- Repeat the counting until you reach the desired number of bars for your verse or chorus. For example, if you want to rap for 16 bars, you can count like this: "one, two, three, four... sixteen, two, three, four". This is 16 bars.

You can also use some online tools or apps to help you count bars in rap. For example, you can use RapPad to write your lyrics and see how many bars you have written. You can also use RapMetrics to analyze your rap flow and rhyme scheme.

I hope you enjoy rapping and creating your own songs. Have fun and keep practicing!
