Beyoncé Knowles-Carter is no stranger to breaking records. The 40-year-old superstar has been dominating the music industry for over two decades, winning 28 Grammy Awards, selling over 200 million records worldwide, and becoming one of the most influential and respected artists of all time.

But this year, she is set to achieve something unprecedented: making over $2 billion from her Renaissance World Tour, which would make it the highest-grossing tour in history.

The Renaissance World Tour, which kicked off in May 2023, is Beyoncé's seventh solo concert tour and her first since the Formation World Tour in 2016. The tour is named after her critically acclaimed and commercially successful double album Renaissance, which was released in December 2022 and featured collaborations with Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Megan Thee Stallion, Rosalía, and more.

The tour consists of 120 shows across six continents, spanning from May 2023 to September 2024. The tour features a stunning production that showcases Beyoncé's unparalleled vocals, choreography, and visuals, as well as a diverse setlist that includes songs from her entire discography, from Destiny's Child to Lemonade to Renaissance.

According to Forbes¹, Beyoncé could potentially net over $2 billion from the tour through two main areas: ticket sales and merchandise. The tour has been selling out stadiums around the world, with an average attendance of over 50,000 per show and an average ticket price of over $200. The tour also offers a range of exclusive merchandise, such as T-shirts, hoodies, hats, posters, and more, that fans can purchase online or at the venues.

The tour has already broken several records in its first leg, which covered Europe and Africa. According to Billboard², the tour earned $127.6 million over 11 shows in July 2023, claiming the largest one-month sum for any artist since the Boxscore archives began in the mid-1980s. The tour also set new records for the highest-grossing engagement ever by a woman, a Black artist, or any American artist, with $42.2 million from five shows at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The tour is expected to continue its success in its second leg, which covers North America and Asia. The tour will visit major cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Tokyo, Seoul, and more. The tour will also make history by being the first concert to take place at the new Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, which has a capacity of over 70,000.

The tour will conclude its third and final leg in Oceania and South America in 2024. The tour will end with four shows at the iconic Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, which can hold up to 90,000 people.

Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour is not only a celebration of her artistic legacy and cultural impact but also a testament to her business savvy and entrepreneurial spirit. By creating a tour that appeals to a global and diverse audience, Beyoncé has proven that she is not only a musical icon but also a billion-dollar brand.
